Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Not only does Paul's Kitchen have practically the best breakfast in Windsor, they have one f the best servers too. The server with the tattoos and signed "L" on the receipt is fantastic and attentive! I hope this gets posted to Facebook, so someone can tag her and let her know how great she makes a visit.
Across the street from me today, I saw some of the neighbour hood friends put up a lemon-aid stand. I always like seeing that. Minutes later I see a police cruiser pull over to the side of the road. Naturally you watch to see whats going on. Then by surprise I watch 2 officers get out and purchase some lemon aid. I thought this was the coolest thing a couple of cops could do to make a kids day. I had to go out there and take this picture and get it on here.
Then the icing on the cake... As they returned to their cars, and got in, they turned on their flashing lights, and pulled away.
These 2 officers have been spotted doing one of most coolest things ever for a group of kids! Way to go!
Hopefully somehow they see this.
My husband and I were walking back home from the park with our two sons, when it started to down pour on us. As we huddled under a tree waiting for it to stop raining, the kindest sweetest lady pulled aside in a red SUV and handed us her umbrella. I just wanted to give her the biggest thanks ever. It was so thoughtful gesture that almost brought me to tears.
So to the lady who stopped at the side of wfcu credit union, thank you!!!!!!!! You have been spotted.
To the female driving the silver Charger in front of me this morning who paid for my coffee at the Lauzon/ Wyandotte St E Tim Hortons. Thank You! I immediately paid it forward. Just proves there are still good people out there.
Around noon today David and I went for a very late breakfast. Ted the waiter was sweet and efficient and Deb was her usual funny self. She always makes everyone feel like family, even though I don't have one of my own. The light atmosphere made my day and David really enjoyed himself.Your breakfast is ta die for and we needed the energy to walk all the way back home. Thank you Deb and her crew !
So today has been one of those days that I should have stayed in bed and hid under the covers.
First I locked my keys in the car, and couldn't find the spare ones, then Tim's mess up my order, then I am late for a meeting but last but not least I was driving and heard a bang. Well sure as I thought it was my muffler. Yep my muffler fell off in front of Kennedy's funeral home (car might be giving me a sign!!!) So as I try to call for help with no luck. These young guys in a construction truck stopped and took pictures of my back end ( the car for pete's sake) of the muffler hanging ,then drove off, So I proceeded to drive with my head down to the next parking lot and stopped my car, down on my back trying to remove this muffler with my snow brush an women appears, she said can I help you I seen you driving, so on the ground she goes and removes the muffler. I thank her and told her she was my angel.
So here there was 2 guys in a work truck taking pictures of a lady and her broken muffler and no common sense to help out. Then this woman dressed up nicely doesn't give a second thought to jump in and help. I don't know what is going wrong with this world but it needs to change.
Sorry for the negative post, But on a positive note I had an angel help me!!!!!
The neighbor Lady that came to my house in tears looking for her lost cat Moo-Moo has taken it upon herself to take care of a cat ( Mia ) that had to be rehomed. The owner is dying from lung cancer and too sick to keep up. I spotted you out and about searching endlessly for your lost baby and feeding the homeless and abandoned in the area. I spotted you feeding and cuddling the colony you take care of. How I wish all people had this kind of compassion.
To the folks in the white Dodge Caliber in front of me in line at the Tim Horton's (Dougall & Tecumseh W) this morning around 10:50 a.m., thank you. These gracious people were waiting to turn left into the drive through when I pulled up to make my right turn in. Since they had clearly been waiting there before me, when the traffic cleared, I let them turn in first, as is my usual practice. I don't know how long these poor people had been waiting to turn into the drive thru, but it must have been a while because they paid for my order, which was not a simple coffee. I did not get your license plate, but I hope you know who I am talking to based on the car and time of day. Thank you so much for your generosity. You are truly nice people.
