Ouellette street

To the young man driving the black GMC Acadia on ouellette street this afternoon around 530pm: you got out of your car at a super busy intersection to help push a man struggling to get across in a wheelchair. You than managed to run back to your car before the light changed (very fast)! My boyfriend and I have spotted you and would like to say thank you! You should have seen his smile as you drove away. This has definitely inspired me to do a good deed today :)

To the young lady at Dan Dan last night...

A spot for you miss, you were 3 maybe 4 years old, and I was filling my drink at the Dan Dan Asian diner last night around 5PM. You were there with your older sister, mom and dad... I was having a particularly bleak day, when you came over to me, said Hi, then told me I looked pretty. Your bright eyes and wide smile brightened my day. Thank you.

THANK YOU

I want to give a big thank you to the ppl especially the lady & her son that helped me.. Today I had to run to shoppers. When I get into the parking lot, I could hear a cat just crying away. Ends up my cat got into the motor of my car. The lady & son came running over to my car to help me as I was scared to even open the hood of my car. They opened The hood & helped me get her out she was stuck. Thank you so much for your help.. I don't know what I was to do...

lots of TLC

I just wanted to say a little something about Leamington District Memorial Hospital and it's staff in the ER! I had an absess removed behind my neck last week and was in a lot of pain, well the dr in the ER that afternoon (monday) was quick and knew exactly what he was doing. Anyhow I got the care I need the next day and had it surgically removed. Anyone with an open wound knows you have no options here to go to get it drained daily. The home care nurses from Bayshore didn't want to come to my house to clean the would and dress it....so I have been going to.Leamington hospitals ER every morning to have this done, upon their approval. I don't have to drive out to windsor everyday for a five minute dressing change, thanks to the amazing and caring staff at the Leamington ER. I just want to say thank you for being so caring and extremely helpful. After being there everyday I got to see how hard these doctors and nurses work. It's not a easy job, yet they do it with a smile and confidence. I felt well taken care of, and they treated me with tons of respect. These people are angels doing God's work.....i am very grateful to have a place like that to go to incase I need anything more. Thanks guys.....xoxo

Massey Junior Football Team

As I watched the ending of my son's football practice last night, I felt compelled to share my heartwarming experience. My son has made his first team, he has a learning disability, is not the most physically fit, but he has a huge heart, and wants to be on this team like his brothers were. Today as he ended his practice with his team, they ran from one side of the field to the other, at the end they had to do a crab walk (like bear crawl but reverse). Kyle was the last kid, he was joined by his coach, and then their QB, as well as other teammates (they had already finished theirs), they cheered him on and did the end with him, then held out a hand and clapped when he was done. I am very proud of you boys, you are star athletes in my eyes!! You have no idea what this meant to my son! Your parents have raised you right. Also to his coaches, who cheer him on every day. Thank you for giving a kid a chance! Massey Mustang Junior Boys you have been spotted!!

A Big Thanks !

I'd like to thank the young mother who helped me today ! I was at the clinic at Walker rd. & Tecumseh rd. The x-Ray department was closed in the building and I had to find a way to hop across the parking lot to the back building and get x rays there. A young mother(with her son in stroller & daughter by her side ) stopped me and said she can help me. She pushed the stroller while I held the side and hoped beside. She walked me all the way to x rays. I really appreciated the help and would like to say Thank you.

Huge thanks

Just a huge thank you to a young gentleman behind me at Giant Tiger. I was $6 short on my bill & told cashier to remove pkg of socks I bought for myself and he slapped $6 loonies on the counter & said "here, take this."...I of course said no thank you, but appreciate your kindness & he said "please just take this". It was such a simple, sweet gesture and I teared up & said you just made this "ol' gal" very happy (don't consider myself old) & he was so kind & laughed and said, "well I have a few cobwebs to dust off me". I love this post and reading kindness of strangers and now fully appreciate how it makes a person feel. Whether it's a $1 or $20, a simple act of kindness can mean so much to someone. God Bless you young man. You Sir, have been spotted.

Parenting is Tough

Friday afternoon I was in Zehr's grocery store and spotted a mom with her kids, one of whom was screaming at the top of her lungs because her mother wouldn't let her get a treat. I was disgusted with the way people were staring, throwing dirty looks and making rude comments about her parenting. Shame on them... Especially the grandmas!!! Anyone who said anything to me was put in their place.
If you're reading this, Mom, I want you to know that I understand how difficult it can be and that you've been spotted. Kudos to you for not giving in to your child's behaviour. I wish you a better day tomorrow.
Everyone else... Instead of judging, try buying the mom a bottle of wine!
