Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Today at around 11am at Superstore on Walker, a gentleman stopped me as I was shopping and apologized to me for all the backlash and generalization that Muslims are receiving. He was so thoughtful and sincere in his words and I was so speechless all I could do is say thank you as I was in tears. With everything that is going on around the world, his words gave me hope. Sir, I don't know if you'll read this but I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You don't know how much your words meant to me.
This morning around 9:30, I pulled up at the Timmies drive-through downtown and joined that long line of cars. When I finally got to the window, I found that the lady in front of me paid for my order! She said that I seemed stressed and hoped that I have a good day... I was genuinely taken aback by her kindness. I actually drove off teary eyed... I know that what she did may seem small- but you have no idea. Last month I had to bury my daughter and this is my first week back to work. Every morning has been filled with anxiety as I struggle to channel my "normal". This just gave me pause. It brought me back to the realization that you're really not alone- regardless of what you're going through. There are people out there who don't know you or your story but who care nonetheless. So THANK YOU. To the lady in the black, large pickup that made my entire day.
I will be paying it forward every chance I get Xo.
I'd like to say thank you to the ladies in the silver Sebring at Tim Hortons on ottawa and Kildare this morning for paying for my order.
I paid your kindness forward.
Merry Christmas and God Bless.
Last night I went to a Whiskey Tour at the Canadian Club building on Riverside Drive put on by my financial adviser Mike. We had a great time and then left for the night. In the morning as I was trying to book seats on a flight for tomorrow I realized my purse was missing. I had no I.D., no cell phone, no credit cards and I was totally upset .. what could I do on a trip with none of the aforementioned?
I truly thought I had carried it out with the other items I had been carrying but it was nowhere to be found at my house! I started to panic and didn't know what to do. I noticed on Facebook that Mike's assistant Denise was on chat so I messaged her around 6:30 a.m. to get a phone number for Mike. She responded immediately and I called him and his wife Anna and all of them went into action. Denise went into work early, Mike called his daughter who knew the daughter of the lady in charge of the tours and they reached Gail. Gail, bless her heart, went into work early and my purse was there.
If you have ever lost a purse or wallet you can imagine what a panic I was in especially having a vacation planned starting the next day!
I really want to put a huge shout out and send a thank you from the bottom of my heart to Mike, Anna, Denise and Gail for all being such fantastic people and putting themselves out to help me. ... you have all been spotted.
To the gentleman who returned the wallet to the Parks & Recreation office. We are sorry we did not catch your name. We were so in awe that you were returning the wallet especially with the amount of money clearly displayed inside. We hope you have the happiest of holidays this coming season!!
To the gentleman who anonymously paid our dinner bill last night at Mamo Burger, thank you!!! That was very kind and generous. We have all promised to pay it forward.
Champs Sports in Devonshire mall has some of the best employee's in Windsor. Here's one that stands out. Sami, a M.I.T at Champs Sports dug deep into his personal pocket and donated socks, shirts and more for the refugees anticipated to come to Windsor. His dedication and compassion deserves some much needed recognition. Way to go Sami.
Huge shout out to the awesome staff in the Met Hospital Emerg on Tuesday afternoon. I was there with my daughter who needed stitches after hitting her head. The waiting room was crowded and the ambulances were coming in one after the other, but the nurses and physicians were so kind and efficient - giving every patient the care they needed and deserved. Your professionalism and patience was wonderful to see.
