My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful meal, great service and delightful company while dining today at Ten Friends Diner located @ 1400 Windsor Ave in Windsor! The atmosphere is awesome, like walking into a friends home, great food (at great prices), and the staff are just as wonderful and caring. I have never have asked for a refill for coffee and I love the fact that I can get breakfast at noon or enjoy a fantastic burger. I just found out that they also cater for events. I highly suggest you go and check them out and enjoy one of their daily specials. Windsor is blessed to have this restaurant. Check out their facebook page!
I was exhausted this morning but made my way to the Amherstburg Sobey's to pick up some groceries. I put $60 in my pocket and zipped it up as I wanted to get in the store quickly and didn't want to carry my purse. Somewhere along my way, it fell out of my pocket, which I didn't discover until it was time to check out. I went down each isle and retraced my steps but couldn't find it. Unfortunately I had to go back out to my car to get some more to pay, and the cashier took my name and phone number just incase someone were to have found it. Not even an hour later, an employee called to let me know a customer had found the money and turned it into customer service. I was surely shocked, but so happy that there are such good honest people out there still. You could've easily put that money in your pocket, but you didn't. I had only hoped that whoever found the money really needed it this holiday season and had let it go but you turned it around and turned it back in. So thank you! I only wish I knew who you were. Honest Shopper, you've been spotted, and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas! :)
A special thank you to an awesome waitress at Jose's Noodle Factory for providing great service. Your professionalism was amazing tonight and you showed that your customers are of value to you even when it is busy. Thank you to the manager also for hearing my concern and allowing me to share my experience with your establishment. Keep doing what you are doing and how you are doing! Your services will not be left unrewarded. You two have been spotted and again thank you!!!
Anyone wishing to see the most unbelievable display of Christmas Lights
should visit TRANBY and MATTHEW BRADY, This Retired senior has outdone himself this year. There is a locked donation box in the front.
He is accepting donations which he uses to buy toys for the needy kids at Christmas Time. Please come out and support this great cause, and view this amazing and spectacular display!!!
Thank you to the lady in the dark blue Grand Prix at Tim Hortons on Howard and Grand Maris. Thank you for paying for my order of $7.70. I just finished writing my first exam and I was having a terrible day. You completely changed my day and cleared my head for my next exam. I guess everything happens for a reason. It took me a little while to realize what just happened. I would have paid it forward to the car behind me. Instead the $8 dollar for my breakfast went to the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle.
P.S. I hope your get your drivers window to roll down again.
Today at the Toys'R'Us on howard ave in windsor I was looking for a drum set for christmas but there were none on the floor. I asked Michael behind the counter at the electronics department if there were any in stock for boys. He checked in the overflow areas for the drum set but didn't see any so he took the time to check in the back for it. He came back to notify me that there were none and they were discontinued so they wouldn't be getting any more in but told me of another set that was smaller but in black not blue but still had all the same pieces. He then went on a hunt to look for the drum set and found it stuffed in the back of the overflow area. Just a big thanks to him and his "out of the way and over the top" effort he had toward finding the item and helping us any way he could even though the store was busy during this time of year.
We went to visit Santa after hours tonight, Sophia was already tired as she had a short nap today meaning things would either go amazing OR be a train wreck. I dreaded going and the entire time put a smile on my face knowing she wasn't going to sit with him and prayed that there wouldn't be a meltdown.
We got to the mall a little early, went in and got our number, it was nice and calm. I was still on patrol, scanning, worrying, making up 25 scenarios in my head of things that could set her off and go wrong. Before we knew it our number was up and it was Sophia's turn to see Santa, they asked "how can we make this a good visit for her?" I gave a list of helpful tips and they followed every single one.
Again it was awesome!!!
But that wasn't what made this trip special, it was what Santa said to me that made me realize how great of a trip we had tonight.
After about the 11th time of me saying "sorry" to the staff for Sophia running around and refusing to sit Santa walked over and told me "stop saying sorry!" He told me "you have nothing to be sorry for, she's a wonderful little girl and quite well behaved." He also went on to tell me to relax and enjoy her the way she is because she's perfect.
Thank you Santa!!
You. Are. Awesome!!!
You made me realize what a successful trip tonight was, we might not be able to do things the conventional way, but our girl is happy and that's a win.
Signed,
One Happy Autism Mommy
Overworked this holiday season, you always have a smile. Both my kids love you and instantly just seeing you brings a smile to their faces. Today on our toys r us trip, you were there. In the lego isle, just being your amazing self. You took the time to chat with my children, you kept his lego box safe as we browsed the store. Thanks for being you. It shows and translates into your work. Merry Christmas this season, from the future hostage negotiator. :)
