Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I want to thank our Wal-Mart santa!!! You take time on your day off to greet all the kids and adults. Your a very kind soul.
Many thanks to the wonderful woman in the grey Ford Focus who bought my breakfast at McDonalds on Walker this morning. Your simple act of kindness goes far beyond the value of my coffee. I've quit drinking alcohol recently and and an incredible side effect of my sobriety has been recognizing the importance of exercising kindness at all costs. As a result, my eyes have opened up to the seemingly inconsequential gestures of kindness that go unnoticed every single day. Thank you, Grey Focus Lady for inspiring me to continue to fight the good fight. Love rules all. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Thursday at the spitfires game my mom lost her wedding rings and didn't realize it until she got home. They have been married 61 years. They called the WFCU on friday morning and low and behold one of the janitors turned them in. You have no idea how happy you made my parents. To the gentleman who found them I would like to say thank you and Merry Christmas. It is wonderful to hear that there is still honest people in our city.
To the woman at 7:15am on Dec. 18th in the white car at the Tim Hortons on Tecumseh W across from University Mall... Thank you for paying for my coffee this morning. I was having a rough morning and you honestly made my day with your kind gesture. I gave you a few little honks to thank you, but wasn't sure if you heard. :) Merry Christmas!!
Driving my almost empty school bus home on Lesperence rd. In Tecumseh I witnessed an elderly woman's walker getting away from her at an intersection due to the high winds. She had just walked a ways to get her mail from her community mailbox. The wind had carried her walker and blew her mail amongst the nearby lawns around the neighborhood. The last 3 students left on my bus quickly responded and asked if they could get off the bus to help her. I opened the door of the bus and the three quickly went to work helping the elderly woman and ran to catch all her flying mail. They were back on the bus within moments and the woman was on her way safely home....a brick holding down her mail . So proud to have such great kids from St Anne's high on my bus. Merry Christmas...pay it forward.
Yesterday around 4pm my father was walking to his truck after having a test done at the hospital, while he was walking his blood sugar dropped and he collapsed. Julie was able to contact my mom with my dads phone, got him some chocolate and called an ambulance, My mom and I would like to thank Julie, her neighbor and the 2 paramedics who helped my father yesterday.
Thank you will never be enough!!!
On my way back to work at lunch today I was behind a funeral procession. Although I wasn't part of it, it was so touching to see the cars and transport trucks alike pulled over to the side of the road to let the procession pass. It's nice to see that still happens.
Merry Christmas to the person who started the pay it forward train at the Tim Hortons on Ottawa St at 2 o'clock or just before. I was the third person who had it done to them in the drive thru as I was told. My order was 21.74 not the average persons order because I bought a $20 gift card for my daughter's school teacher. I thought only the coffee was paid for but nope the whole thing :) I love doing pay it forwards so with my 20 dollar bill in hand I gave it to the worker and said keep it going :) It feels good enough to do it to someone else but to have it done to you feels amazing....Cheers all and Merry Christmas P.S. I hope the person ahead of me reads this to find out they touched more than one person. :)
