Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I'm nine months pregnant, a single mom with three other children. I had a doctor's appointment today with the o.b., Dr. Jasey at his office on walker and Tecumseh. Unfortunately I had no ride or babysitter for my 22 month old, so I took a cab there. When I arrived, the woman working the desk saw me pushing the stroller while trying to also carry the carseat and diaper bag ( wasn't easy) . She was nice enough to let me in right away. I was seen and out the door in ten minutes. After that a very nice lady in the hallway saw me struggling and helped me to the main door to wait for my cab ride home. Then another woman helped me lug everything into the cab when she noticed I was having more trouble. (I'm 3 cm dilated and in alot of pain) I was overwhelmed by the kindness of all these complete strangers that could have easily ignored me. You all have restored my faith in humanity! Thank you soooo much for your help...oh and also to the two very polite young women who held the doors for me!
My son and his family moved last weekend. The carpets in the home looked like they were heading to the dump. With some hard work ,Mike at Renko carpet cleaning got the rugs smelling and looking new. Joel and Carolyn are lucky to have you working for them. You did everything you could to make us happy. Thanks again Mike.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the anonymous woman who found my purse in a shopping cart at babies r us today and handed it in to the store. Your honesty is very much appreciated. I am grateful that you found it!
Today at the hospital we had no cash and we're trying to pay by credit card. The machine often won't work according the lady behind us who stepped forward to pay it in cash for us. I don't know her name but she works at the hospital. I so appreciate your generosity! We will pay it forward.
On Monday's my mother and I usually workout together in the mornings and we decided to go to the GoodLife by Tecumseh Mall because we have never been to that one before. When we walked in, a male and a female had greeted us with big smiles on their faces, wishing us a good workout and the one girl had noticed we had never been to that GoodLife before so she offered to show us around. We said we would love that and as she was showing us around, I failed to notice that my mothers shoe was untied...so this lovely girl that was showing us around paused in the middle of her sentence and starting tying my mother's shoe. I was so touched with how friendly and down to earth she was. Also when we left, me and my mom felt like we were cared about by everyone who was working there that day. We decided to go to that gym more often, no matter if it is an extra 10 minutes away from where we live...i have never been so happy leaving a gym before! thanks to the GoodLife team for giving me and my mom a rememberable experience.
To the young couple who was finishing their meal at the Keg on Saturday. Thank you so much. After our meal, we were presented with a Creme Brulee for dessert. You overheard that it was our anniversary and decided to treat us to dessert. Unknown to you, my father-in-law passed away on January 16th and it was his favorite dessert. Thank you for making a great night out even more special.
Last week I sent out a request on Facebook asking my friends at work to TP (toilet paper) my desk for my birthday... odd request right?! well here's the story about how I work with some amazing individuals. I seen a post on the Windsor Youth Centres fb page asking for donations of toilet paper as they were in need. So after I posted my status two of my close friends who I work with desided they will secretly accept my challenge and they sent out a mass email at work asked for TP donations or money and they would purchase it. They turned my desk into a TP castle as a suprise for my birthday using all they collected and purchased. By the end of the day I was able to donate approximately 1040 rolls of toilet paper to the Windsor Youth Center. This is all thanks to the amazing people I work with at Farrow!! I brought my 4 year old daughter, 7 year old niece and mom with me to drop it all off and we couldn't stop smiling. The people at the WYC were so appreciative that they made us feel so good for thinking of them. I truly am so greatful for the amazing people I work with. Thank you for helping me turn my birthday into a day to help people on our community at the WYC.
My husband, daughter and I went out for breakfast at matter of taste restaurant this morning. After we had ordered our food, the waitress came over to tell us that the amazing and generous couple sitting at the table behind us had paid for our meal. My husband and I were shocked because neither of us has ever had anyone do this before. Just shows that there are some wonderful people in this world and they are living in windsor. Thank you so much for treating us to breakfast, you made our day!!!
