Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Today I had the chance to volunteer at iclimb along with a lot of amazing volunteers. The thing I enjoyed to see the most was Windsor Police and other stations interacting with young people. I heard really nice comments from a few kids who were shocked to see Officers going up and down the stairs with them, talking with them... and a lot more! It is wonderful to see them all interact with the younger generations! Cecilia G. (?not even attempting last name) this officer was AMAZING I could not believe how wonderful she was with the kids and anyone else she came into contact with. It made my day brighter to see all the officers with these young people, Thank you to all of you...
I went to the hospital in the morning to pick up my husband who was admitted since last night. The weather as you seen was brutal. .freezing rain, high winds...as soon as I got to Met hospital I circled 15 mins before I realized I wasn't going to find a parking spot because it was full..I decided to use Rafih Auto Valet services at the hospital. The Valet worker that was working had one of the best customer service I have ever experienced. As soon as I got into my husband room I realized I forgot my phone in the car . I called the number from my husbands phone on the Valet card and he had already parked my car, but he advised he doesn't mind bringing my car back to me so I can get my phone . He brought the car right to the door and parked my car again. As soon as I got back in ..10 mins later the doctor released my husband from the car and I called Valet to let them know we were leaving but from the emergency side which is not on the Valet side. Again he didn't mind bringing our car to the other side of the hospital. Once we got the car we offered him a ride back to his destination because it was a far walk and he didn't accept because he was being professional. All this great services and I found out someone had stolen his wallet with his credit cards and ID inside . Even when he was having the worst day he made sure mine was going to be good
Thank you again for your hard work. You have been spotted !!
Found a Brindle type mix dog on 900 Marentette Ave. Very friendly. He's in my yard for now. Not sure what to do with him.
To the lady in the black Nissan armada with the Spartan emblem at Tim Hortons on Manning this morning, thank you. You bought my coffee and bagel this morning and I was told you do this every day. I did pay it forward, but I wanted to say thank you, and let eveyone know you've been spotted.
Yesterday afternoon (Feb 22nd) my mom lost her phone, we aren't sure how but it likely fell out of her pocket in the Gladstone and Ottawa area. A few hours later a young girl texted me (her daughter) and said she found my moms phone. She wanted to get in touch with my mom so she could arrange to have it returned. She dropped it off hours later and would not accept a small amount of money as a token of appreciation. To this young woman who returned the cell phone, you've been spotted! Thank you so much!
While waiting in the ER With my granddaughter Alissa, A very nice couple came and sat by us . I did not get your names but you have been here about a yr (from up north) and waiting for blood work on your husband to see if he had a mild heart attack, We had been sitting there for quite along while and you wife asked us if we would like a coffee or something else, I offered to pay for ours as I could not go and get one, but you refused and said no worries. Its so Wonderful and we Blessed that there are good people in the world like you & your husband I hope all went well with him. Keep you both in our prayers. Thank You Again :)
On Sunday Feb 21st my wife and I were out in down town Windsor mainly for dinner and our Sunday night date. We saw this amazing group of younger guys and girls handing out coffee cookies and offering up some good old fashioned hugs to anyone who wanted them. When asked if they were part of a church group or organization they simply said just paying life forward . You wonderful people have been spotted and made me feel good to know not all good hope in life is lost.
My daughter is 15 months.
Within these last two weeks she had to stay in the hospital for four days.
RSV got her pretty damn good. She wasn't eating or drinking. While we were up on peads the nurses up there were FANTASTIC.
They made my daughter feel like home.. Made us feel like home.
Even thought four days may not sound like alot. While you're stuck in a room with a 15 month old in quarantine, it's a loonnnnng stay. Lol
My daughter had Denise, Stefanie and another lady as her nurse.
You ladies deserve a pat on the back. A high five and a hug!!! You were fantastic with my daughter.
THANK YOU!
