Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
To the people (and doggy) in the black SUV in the drivethru line at Starbucks (Huron Church) on St Patrick's day at 9:00 pm: Thank you soooooo much!!! We pulled up to the window to learn that our drinks had been paid for. We were having a great day celebrating our daughter's 5th birthday and I thought things just couldn't be better. Thanks for the reminder that people, even strangers can be just genuinely nice in a fun way.
I was at the Starbucks by Manning road in Tecumseh and there was a girl with the longest most beautiful red hair I have ever seen in my life. I noticed she had a CIBC name tag so she probably worked at the branch across the street (I may be wrong but I think her name was Sarah) although it should be Ariel. Anyway she was very kind and I wanted to share this. There was a brand new employee who was clearly struggling and the other patrons were hassling her making shitty remarks about how long it was taking which just shook up the new employee even more. I wanted to say something so bad but didn't have the balls. Well let me tell you this Ariel girl DID!! She was cool about it too, when it was her turn she casually said "hey girl it's just coffee, no worries... You're doing an amazing job, have a great smile, and are super friendly and that's all that counts" the girl working almost cried and thanked her and offered to give "Ariel" her hot chocolate free. She said "oh no that's alright you don't have to do that, it's okay I just wanted to let you know you're doing great. Anyone can learn how to mix ingredients to make drinks but not many people have a great personality like you, and that can't be taught so was just giving you kudos, but thanks anyway" .... Needless to say I'm in love hahah
I was out doing some shopping this afternoon and there were so many kind Windsor residents out today! At Michael's, an employee helped me with a colour choice for some yarn, at Homesense, a spunky redhead gave me some opinions on some canvas paintings I was picking out, and in the parking lot, a lovely lady helped me with my trunk gate so the wind didn't knock it down. Thanks for the great afternoon, Windsor!
Driving down Marlborough Street, there was a father plaing street hockey with his kids, it made me happy to see people playing outside. The father was involved with them and watching for cars. It's very important to keep an eye on kids and teach them to be safe. 😀
Thank you to the gentleman in front of me who spent so much at Value Village that it filled a discount card that he then turned around and gave to me. I got 30% off of my shopping.
That was very kind of you!
Also, he was buying lots and lots of shoes and putting them into a garbage bag so my assumption was that they were for a donation but I really should have asked because that in itself is an amazing gesture as well.

I was just on the windsor humane society website and I think your dog may be in there, they have a doberman that was picked up, please take a look on there website, this is the lost dog they found.
At the parking lot at Ouelette and riverside. I got out of my car with my dog to watch the sunset by the river after a terrible day. I completely forgot to pay for parking and a few minutes later when I returned to my car this officer had written me a ticket. I explained to her which car was mine and before I even finished my sentence she offered to take it off. She chatted with me and pet my dog for a few more minutes and was super nice! I was both shocked and pleasantly surprised. So anyways, a big thank you to the wonderful stranger by the river who helped brighten my day with that random act of kindness!! I appreciate it more than you know and will definitely pay it forward, thanks!
Back in September I bought a recliner from Coulter's . In a short while not only did I notice it had manufacturing flaws but friends also reaffirmed my findings. I went back to the store with pictures in hand & within a few days Coulter's picked up the chair . After a few weeks back it came with very little, if any changes. Frustrated, I sent the chair back to the store. Last Sunday I received a call from Coulter's informing me they were going to fully reimburse me the cost of chair. Imagine, no arguing , no hassles, nothing! I got my money back! Now that kind of great customer service doesn't happen too often. This happy camper had to let you know about my good experience .
