Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
On Friday April 22nd, Autism Services Incorporated will be hosting our 8th Annual Pasta Dinner Fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting The Bruce Awad Summer Program For Individuals With Autism, which ASI runs. As President and Fundraising Coordinator, I would like to give an enormous thanks to the very generous community we live in! We at ASI are completely overwhelmed by the Raffle Prizes, Silent Auction items, Corporate Sponsors and cheque donations that we have received over the past few weeks leading up to our event. I am speechless. This event would not be possible without this great community we live in. Also, to all the fine individuals in our community who have volunteered their precious time to help prep for the event, and to those working the night of, your manpower is truly appreciated. As for Friday night....LET'S DO THIS!!
I just wanted to spot the hard working and very patient blonde woman who was working the customer service and 20 items or less Lane. I was in such a rush after a long day at work and an endless amount of errands after, but your kindness just stopped me in my tracks and I want you to be acknowledged as I'm very sure this wasn't your first time. Initially, I was going in the other Lane, but yours seemed to be moving faster so I decided to switch. As I did, I noticed you were now waiting on an older gentleman on a handicap scooter. I watched you quickly but calmly walk all the way around your counter, just so you could help him get his money out of his wallet as he asked of you and to pay his total. You then went back around and did this without batting an eye once or giving this man any troubles. even though he was very hard to understand when he then asked you to count the remainder of what was in his wallet, you continued to stay patient and serve him with a smile. I just wanted to say I admire you for all of that and more. I really do hope my small gesture afterwards made your day a little brighter, as you made that man's day a little easier and taught me a lesson all in the process:) so thank you!
Shout out to the random stranger ahead of me at the mall in the ManchuWok line who paid for my order. What's sweet is that it wasn't even my order they paid for. I work for Community Living Windsor and I was with a woman I support at the mall. She had already bought a purse and didn't have a lot of money to spare left for a huge meal. I guess the person ahead of me must have heard that I had told her she couldn't afford a 3 plate meal and paid for the order. I wish I would have seen who it was but thank you anyway for the random act of kindness. It made my day and I will definitely pay it forward as well. ☺️
Today while shopping at the Canadian Tire on Tecumseh Rd East my husband and I received some of the best customer service we have ever had. We had some questions about paint and Michelle helped us as much as she could and when she wasn't quite sure about something we asked she brought us to Lauren who was amazing! Lauren was patient, informative and helpful. Thank you to both of you for your great service , you made our day.
I just wanted to give a quick thank you to the man ahead of me in the Tim's (Hwd & Gd Mrs) for buying my family breakfast this morning. What a generous gift ! I'm still smiling...you made my day :)
Thank you to the generous couple who gave me the toonie to pay for my parking this morning so I didn't have to walk back to hospital.
Made my day.
I will pay it forward.
Big Mamas Pizza and more on Wyandotte.
I walked in to this place on Saturday for the first time as it was in the area, while I was in there I witnessed the most amazing customer service. A man who I believe to be the owner (vito?) was chatting with guests. He was familiar with most of them. As I was sitting in there a young woman came in and started speaking to him. The young woman had a developmental delay and possible mental health concerns. Vito interacted with her, and I witnessed her face light up. She felt wanted and respected. She sat in there and shared personal stories as he attentively listened and responded. He was busy behind the counter but made time to interact and treat her with the utmost respect. As I was leaving a man with no money came in and asked for assistance, at which time the staff assisted with no thought.
What an amazing thing to watch, he is located in a higher risk neighbourhood and on top of delivering great tasting food, he delivers a service which makes everyone smile. I will be recommending this place to everyone!
Thank you for all you do!

To the gentlemen who bought our coffee the other night in Harrow... Thank you SO much. Don't know if you are local. But you've been SPOTTED.
