Car Tarp

Thank you to the person or people that put a tarp on my car on Saturday during the storm on Lincoln Road in Walkerville. I had left my sun roof open accidentally and was in Kingsville delivering cupcakes to a wedding and had no way to get to my car. Thanks to your kindness in putting the tarp on my car, the interior was saved and there was not nearly as much water damage as what there should have been. I was so touched by the generosity and am sincerely thankful. Thank you!

Speeding/Tailgating

Hello everyone! I feel as if my wife and I have missed a memo regarding the new unspoken rule on speeding. Growing up (I'm 31) I was taught that everyone does 10 over the limit, driving the actual speed limit will get you tailgated and birded. We've always honored that rule but we find tailgating to be getting much worse in the last few years. Especially on 80km highways (Howard out of Windsor is really bad!!)

Just hoping to hear some opinions, is it time for us to speed up?

LaSalle Police Officer

Thank you to our Police Officers for protecting our town and citizens. I dislike phone calls at 4:00 am because it usually means it's something bad. This morning at 4:00 am we received a phone call from the LaSalle Police Department apologizing us for waking us. An Officer drove down our street and noticed one of our garage doors was open, he called it in to the station and they called us. The Officer waited in front of our driveway until we came out to close the door, waved and was on his way. Given all the recent theft in the LaSalle area, we appreciate the concern and the phone call. Thank you Officer and your team for looking out for us; we appreciate you! You've been spotted.

Kudos to Windsor's finest!

Shout out to a couple of wonderful police officers. We had both ambulance & police at our house today to help out an elderly neighbour. My grandson was a bit intimidated by the sheer size of the policeman. Realizing this, they not only let him sit in the police vehicle, but also gave him a teddy bear. He is no longer afraid of police & has a great story to share about his new teddy bear.

Thanks to Zehrs on Malden Road

A big thank you to Zehrs on Malden Rd. from the crew at Alpine Construction Windsor Ltd. for dropping off cases of water, a cooler full of ice and the meat and veggie trays. We are all here on Victory in LaSalle in this heatwave doing what we do best....cleaning up, restoration, and everything else needed to do since last nights tornado swept through our region. How thoughtful of Zehrs to provide us with water, ice and food to keep us all going. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kind gesture. We appreciate it so much.

Timmies on techumseh next to Josephs

Just want to give a huge thank you to the staff and patrons of timmies this morning at about quarter to eleven. My daughter got stung twice by a yellow jacket and when she began to scream and cry many people offered assistance and well wishes and even checked on her when we came back. Tim Hortons employees replaced all we had to leave behind. So I just want to say thank you to everyone today.
