Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I'd like to offer a huge thank you to the young man yesterday at IKEA, driving a silver Saturn, who asked my daughter and I if we required any assistance loading our purchases in the car. He came right over, leaving his purchases next to his car, (and unbeknownst to us, his wife and child in the car). He loaded some very heavy boxes into the back and told us to be mindful of our backs when we took the boxes out so as to not to get hurt. He was so friendly and thoughtful, and we are so appreciative of his kindness. Thanks to that young man !!
I took my mother out for lunch today at Ming Wah! Half way through lunch, a beautiful lady came to our table, placed $35 cash on our table and told us to put it towards our lunch and walked out of the restaurant. We were both shocked and said thank you and watched her drive away in her cute little car. We are still shocked and wished we would have hugged her. If you are reading this, thank you so much! You totally made both of our day!
Thank you to the wonderful lady who paid for my items at the goodwill on McDougall street Sunday around 130pm.
My daughters and I were shopping and in line waiting to pay. My baby got a little fussy and I had to take her out of her stroller. The lady beside us in another line dropped a few items and my oldest right away went to help (she has a heart of gold and is always ready to help people)
We smiled and I went back to talking to the cashier, balancing a crying baby and getting ready to pay.
Before I knew it the lady jumped in between me and the cashier and handed her enough money to cover my entire bill.
So to this wonderful lady thank you a million fold. I was speechless and dumbstruck and in such awe of your generosity. I asked if I could hug you and you let me. I always teach my children that itโs important to do good deeds but not for a reward, that the creator will see when we do good and it will come back to us when we least expect it. Today in your generosity and goodwill at the goodwill you helped reinforce what I teach them, you also helped them see that the spirit of St. Nicholas lives in us all ( another lesson we teach them about the holidays and the reason behind "Santa Claus") .
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope and know that the kindness you showed us today will come back to you. God bless you and I hope you have a wonderful holiday.
Just want to say thanks to the lady in front of me in the drive thru. Who paid for my order this morning at Tim's on Walker & Ypres. Very unexpected and appreciated.
Have a Great Day!!!
To Sam at Dollarama on Tecumseh Rd E today, you were a kind young girl!!
(I overheard the cashier working with you call you Sam)
The store was crazy busy today and you had come up to help clear the ever growing line, asking for the next person to come to your till.. she was a much older lady with a walker who was making her way to you as someone else from the back of the line rushed over and tried to cut her off, you explained to them that this lady was next and you were going to help her first and you'd help them next, the poor older lady was slow moving and apologizing but you just smiled and told her not to worry to take her time! (All while the impatient lady next rolled her eyes and mumbled that she could have gone through by the time she had gotten over to you & you should have just cashed her out). The older lady tried to have you ring in the impatient one but you said no that she was next and she had come over from the back of the line. I'm glad you helped the older lady first and made sure she had her bags okay and let her know you didn't make them too heavy for her as she mentioned she was taking the bus! Some people are so rude and impatient especially this time of year! To the impatient woman who ran from the BACK of the line and cut off and older lady then give the cashier a hard time about it... Before judging either the older lady or the cashier, trying being in their shoes.
At my usual stop this morning at the Tim Horton's on Jefferson. I pull up and see the sign..."Debit is down". Right away I'm annoyed. Great, I have no cash and I just want a coffee! As I wait in the line, I manage to find a toonie. (Love the spare change you find in between the seats!) As I pull up, I'm told that the customer ahead of me in the black Chevy Cruze paid for my coffee. Really? That's awesome :) I went from frustrated and annoyed, to thankful and humbled. I then handed over my toonie for the car behind me. Thanks Chevy Cruze guy! You took a potentially miserable start to my day and turned it around into something great!
I want to thank the kind lady who paid for my 85yr old husband's gas at the Shell gas station on Tecumseh Rd. He is getting forgetful and forgot his pin no for card, he was getting anxious and with a line behind him and she stepped up and paid for his gas and refused to be reimbursed. I don't know her name and wanted to thank her and let people know their are angels here in Windsor
Wow my heart has been so warmed and my faith in humanity restored! Tonight (Tuesday November 15) at Walmart we did some Christmas shopping and what little grocery shopping we could. Somehow we went over budget. By quite a bit and I was completely baffled by considering I counted it all as we went and I normally am so on point with the total. While in line half my stuff rung through and being packed into bags I had already hit our limit. Not limit as in can't or don't want to spend the rest but my husband and I had no more in my wallet to spend! Embarrassed because people were patiently waiting behind us to cash their order through I was frantically thinking about what we could do without until next Tuesday which was basically nothing I almost felt like crying and frustration began to set in. The lady and man behind us said she would pay for it all. To just leave it, it was fine ๐ฎ she made it seem like such a small gesture as if she were holding open a door or something. I had no idea what to do I reassured her we were fine and that it was okay but she refused and said it was okay that it wasn't that much anyway. I stood awkwardly in line as she paid for my stuff not knowing what to do or how to thank this wonderfully kind hearted woman.. After a dozen thank yous I asked if I could hug her. She allowed me and I just couldn't believe people like her still exist. I've always paid it forward but rarely have we ever needed it back today an angel was watching over us and that angel wasn't one like you read in the bible or stories. She was just like you and I. And she saved me tremendously. I know it may not seem like much but to me it was a life raft while stranded in the middle of an ocean. I cried when I got home and settled in and I can only hope God has blessed this woman and continues to. May not have been much to her but to us it was everything! Thank you so so much.! I wish I knew a way to repay you for your kindness in our time of need ๐ I guess I'll just continue to help those who also need it.
