A mother from my work, said her daughter sent a text, saying that her daughter went into the sunroom and believed a dog needed some warmth and comfort on this cold evening, but it ended up being a cayote!!!!
As all animals want to be cozy, please keep them warm, and safe this cold winter coming.
Thank you for all the people who do already.

We want to thank you again for giving us a boost at the shoppers on Howard and Tecumseh tonight. You were waiting for your wife and had kids in your van and you still helped us out. Thank you again so much.
My faith in the humanity in people was restored today. Whoever did this at the University of Windsor, you have amazed me! I saw a few trees attached with the same note, when I traveled to main campus for lunch today! How thoughtful to think of others who struggle to keep themselves warm. I was truly inspired and happy to see this act of kindness!
To the very nice man who called me to tell me my mom lost her phone at costco, thank you for turning her phone into customer service. That was very selfless and honest of you, we really appreciate it
For anyone having a less than wonderful day, here is a feel good story for you. This morning I called several different Subway's to order lunch for a group of staff and volunteers who run our Holiday Program at work. I connected with a Subway store owner named Jay at the Tecumseh Mall/ Tecumseh Home Depot location by total luck. The order was well over $120 but I only had a budget of $75. This money was raised by youth that participate in fundraising for our agency and advocate for other children. When I tried to figure out a way to bring down the cost of the lunch he asked me who I was feeding. I told him it was for a group of people volunteering their time to package new toys for less fortunate families and would need to order an entire lunch, right down to drinks and cutlery. He put me on hold to organize a couple different menu's that would suit my budget. Moments later he came back on the phone and offered to pay the difference of my original order himself, only charging me $74. I was shocked and kindly accept his generosity. When I arrived to pick up the food he gave me his business card and said he would like to continue supporting us and to please call him again if I ever needed to provide more food to staff or families in the community. He also packed extra subs for me in case anyone wanted second helpings. I was so touched by his generosity. I then made my way over to our Holiday Program to deliver lunch and stopped in my tracks at the amazing sight of kindness our city has shown. The warehouse was LOADED with toys, clothing and household items larger than any department store I've seen. All these gifts were donated by our community and it gave me goosebumps to witness first-hand what wonderful humanity we have in our own city. It's easy to get caught up in the negative especially during the holiday season with the pressures that come with it. Sometimes we all need a little reminder about the good in the world and how we can be a part of it.
To the ladies at Dulux Paint on Dougall, thank you for your awesome customer service, you exchanged a paint sheen for me and tinted it a fantastic green. Gave me prime tips to get the exact colour I wanted.
Thank You

I was on the Ottawa bus on Sunday heading downtown to renew my bus pass when the driver of the bus pulled over unexpectedly. It wasn't until he ran off the bus that I noticed an elderly lady had fallen across the road. He helped her up and to another bench. He came back to the bus and made a phone call, and went back to her for a few minutes while waiting for help. If that wasn't enough, I got the same driver later while going home. This time, he had an elderly lady going home with a lot of groceries. I know he didn't stop at the normal stop, instead, went right to her apartment. He asked if any of us would mind him helping her up the stairs. He then got off the bus, walked her to the door and upstairs. About a minute later he returned and carried about his driving. You have been spotted driver, it's nice to see people helping people.
Sincerely, a happy rider.
