Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
My Mom was in the check out line at Freshco on Malden Rd yesterday morning and the lady behind her had a heaping cart of holiday groceries. An older gentleman behind the lady asked if that was for her Christmas dinner. She replied "yes, I received my cheque today so I thought I'd better get it done". The gentlemen then said "Merry Christmas, it's on me!" It's so touching to even hear about this happening. Merry Christmas to the very kind stranger and to the lady who received his generous gesture too!!!
Today I went shopping at Zehrs on Dougal to get baking items with my boyfriend's Mom... two beautiful ladies approached us and handed me a stocking and said that they had one more left for me! As they walked away I looked in it and it was full to the top with supplies, candy and a 50$ Walmart card 💕 Happy to see people out blessing others and very thankful to meet those lovely gals!! Now its time for me to pay it forward.
Merry Christmas and thank you to the girl in the silver saturn at Burger King tecumseh and drouillard, for paying for my order. What a wonderful unexpected surprise! I will be paying it forward!
I was out shopping at Home Depot Tecumseh Rd. East on Tuesday, December 20th. While there, a man named Abdul was assisting me with lumber for a project I'm doing. I have never come across someone more helpful and kind than him. I never once felt like I was being rushed or unimportant. He spent a good 30 minutes helping me and I appreciate him so much. Some times when I go into Home Depot, as a woman I feel anxious and looked at like I'm clueless and feel as though I'm a burden to the employees. But never once did Abdul treat me any differently. I really hope he sees this, he's an amazing employee and I am so thankful for him.
To the driver of the maroon minivan, turning left from Moy to Ottawa St. apporoximately 8:30 Wed a.m.- I am very sorry! I had missed your turn signal, and stepped out into traffic. You had to hit the brakes, jolting everyone in your vehicle. I am sorry, very sorry. I am sorry for making you hit the brakes, also grateful for your quick response. I am sorry to your wife, who didn't expect a scare so early. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday, and a great New year!
I would like to thank my very last customer of my day on Monday. It had been a busy day and I just wanted to get out of there. Your order was a simple one so I finished by selling you 2 separate lotto tickets. I signed out and started to walk away and you stopped me and handed me the ticket you just purchased and said you always buy tickets and randomly give them away. I told you I couldn't take it...but you insisted...I just want to say you've been spotted...thank you again.
To the couple who bought almost $400.00 worth of toys at the Dollarama on University Ave today to donate to charity. THANK YOU! Because of you guys I'm sure many kids who may have gone without will have something to open Christmas morning. The gesture just made my heart smile and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Meaghan Grass - you have been spotted! With times being tough with Christmas around the corner you chose to help a young man in high school whom you witnessed get robbed of his school tablet. You tried to help but they still managed to take his tablet. You decided to take it upon yourself to go to the boys school to tell them what you had witnessed. The school, however, was only concerned about the well-being of their student. You found out some background info about him and decided you needed to help him. You and your brother not only bought him TWO winter jackets (so that he would have a choice), but you, your family, and your friends joined together and helped by giving him money, gift cards, and even a care package. With the money that was given, YOU are taking him to get winter boots and clothing. Meaghan, you are such a good person. You are so selfless, and i cant think of a person more selfless than you. Im sure you made that boy so happy and gave him a great (early) Christmas. Keep being an amazing person. :)
