Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I am a nurse that works in acute care.
My neighbour is an (amazing) retired nurse who served her time and helped make nursing what it is today; a wonderful profession.
Her son has been staying with her for the past several weeks, ensuring his wonderful mother stays safe during these uncertain times.
They have both been so wonderful and grateful for my part during Covid 19 working in acute care (there has never been a time that I haven't been thanked by them), but I wanted to take a moment to thank all the nurses before us who paved the way and made nursing what it is today. Also, for all their families who are making sure that our hero's that wore the nursing caps prior to us are being taken care of the way they would have taken care of their patients.
So, to all the nurses who paved the way for us, and their families, I would like to thank you for all you have done and all you are doing. We are working the frontlines because of you and your families.
A special thank you to my wonderful neighbour Mrs. P and her son Mr. P (jr) for all their support and kind words!...there have been days that those kind words have meant more to me than you will ever know! Angels come in all shapes and forms, and I hope they know that they are my angels that have helped me during my most challenging of days.
Sincerely,
A grateful nurse
On Monday my daughter Cristines Ellis spent her day off collecting 2 car loads of food for windsor family coalition food bank .when I asked her why she does this she just said wanted to give back..I am so proud of her way to go Cristine
Want to give a huge shout out and thanks to Dr Nabil Asfour and his team for getting my husband in for a very necessary stress test during these uncertain times. No one was taking appointments for them due to Covid-19. My husband failed the stress test and one week later had quadruple bypass surgery. Had Dr Asfour and his team not agreed to take patients at this time, my husband would not be here today!! We cannot thank you enough!!
Spotted a bunch of cars going down Langlois Ave. Must have been a birthday party parade. They were all honking their horns and having a good time.
Thanks, might not have been meant for me but made me happy all the same.
A special thank you to the customer who provided our staff at Meloche's No Frills with pizza today! During these hard times, it's nice to feel appreciated and it made us very happy. Thanks again!!
My family and I would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Hotel Dieu, for caring for my grandmother while she was there.
It was very difficult for my family to not be able to be with her as she passed, but it was comforting to know that she had such wonderful, caring people with her. I know that my grandmother appreciated that as well.
I can only imagine how busy, exhausted and stressed you all are during this pandemic, yet, you took the time to call and keep my family updated every step of the way. One of you even went as far as calling after she passed to give your condolences. I realize that you have a job to do when you go to work every day, but you all go above and beyond. That type of care should not go unnoticed.
Again, we thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your kindness and compassion.
Stay safe!
I had an amazing instacart shopper April 26th. She shopped Superstore for me and I have a special diet. She was so kind and attentive to my needs. Texting me and asking if I needed anything else. She delivered my groceries and was just a pleasure to deal with. I gave her an excellent written review and upped her tip. I sent her a final message to say how impressed I was and to thank her again. I'm high risk and have been in isolation now for 40 days alone.
So, today April 27 my apartment buzzer went off and I answered. It was my amazing instacart girl bringing me a beautiful mask that her mom had made! I wish I had asked her name and for her mom's site for the masks. It's beautifully made and has the opening for a filter. I hope somehow she sees this. Honestly I was so touched by her kindness. Her name on the site is Rune but I don't know if they use a nickname or not. Thank you my Instacart Angel. 💗💗💗
I Went to Home Hardware on Seminole/ Aubin to pick up an order. I Just wanted to say their setup for pick/ up was very smooth. They were very efficient and we had service with a smile! I've shopped there several times prior to this craziness' and I will say their staff is great. Very knowledgeable with their products and always very helpful. I'm just happy to see the smaller businesses doing well in these times. Home hardware, you have definitely been spotted!!!!
Thank you!
