Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
On Tuesday February 28th after a late night conference, a friend and I stopped for dinner at the Kildare House for a bite to eat. We were seated up stairs next to a group of young patrons in their 20's celebrating a friends birthday. They respectfully asked if they could listen to their music while playing a friendly game of cards. The patrons were polite and enjoying each other's complaby, laughing and celebrating. When we left to pay our bill the server told us that, "It was taken care of." On our way out a young woman apologized for "Being loud and disrupting our dinner conversation" and explained that they were celebrating a friends birthday and had no intention on ruining our dining experience so she paid for our dinner to say thank you and that she "appreciated us". So to that beautiful patron, Thank You for the kindness and generosity displayed.
I was near Wyandotte and Marentette where the fire department had responded to a call south of Wyandotte around 2PM Friday. Approximately 15 minutes later I was travelling south on Parent when one of the fire trucks that had left the call was driving ahead of me. Suddenly the truck pulled over to the curb lane beside the old W. D. Lowe Secondary School just passed the playground. Two firemen jumped out of the truck with one of them stopping traffic as the other ran across the street. As I watched, I was wondering where another fire may have been however I didn't see any smoke. Suddenly the one who had went across the street came back across with a good ole Frisbee in his hand! Apparently one of the kids in the playground threw it too hard or the wind took it sailing across the street. The fire department responded by stopping to get it for them!
WAY TO GO WFD!!! Hats off to you for your kind gesture!
My 3 year old daughter has a purple buzz cut. My husband took her with him to Costco this afternoon and you stopped and gushed over her hair, and told her not to ever let anyone tell her that she can't look however she wants to look or be whoever she wants to be. Not only did your compliment about her hair thrill her, but you also helped to reinforce what we always tell each of our four children. And for that I wanted to "spot you" and say thank you!
I would like to thank the gentleman that purchased two chocolate bars from a young boy fundraising outside of Freshco this evening and gave them to my children. Not only was I appreciative, my children were very surprised by a stranger's kindness. They tried to thank you properly and I'm unsure if you heard us, so thank you again!
Thank you so much to the girl who found my phone at Devonshire Mall today! You saved an endless amount of pictures of my fur babies and I will be forever grateful! Now it's time for me to pay it forward!
Observed a man driving an AlphaKOR vehicle at approximately 8:05 a.m. today. Not only was he using a handheld device but he barely did what could be described as a rolling stop at an intersection.
Today I stopped in at the Dougall Walmart with my 3 year old and 14 month old. We grabbed a few grocery items and my 3 year old picked out a hula hoop he was very excited to take home. As we were checking out I realized I left my wallet at home, I prepared for the melt down as I tried to explain this to my son and the very kind cashier quickly purchased the hula hoop for my son and handed it to him. I was so impressed with your random act of kindness, it was incredibly kind and generous of you. Thank you Jesse for making my little boys day, you've been spotted! And I will be sure to pass the kindness on! 💕
I want to Thank the young gentleman who helped my husband walk to the hydro company today in this terrible wind from the parking lot around 3 pm on March 8th. The wind was knocking my husband down he came up to him and helped him get to the hrydo door. You don't see many young people helping others, hope you see this.
Grateful Thankyou.
