Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
March 30th our truck broke down near pillette and Tecumseh Rd. We were trying to push the truck into a lot since it wouldn't start. It was pouring rain and and lots of traffic. But the thanks to the two guys who pulled over I believe in their jeep to help us push our truck. Thank you so much. After tons of people honking at us when we were trying you were both kind enough to stop and help in the rain. Thanks so much
On this crazy Rainy night!
To the man On Bernard Street!
Thank you for using your strobe light on your cell phone to signal us and all cars driving down the FLOODED ROAD!
My car was covered in water a huge flood was hiding on the road. I couldn't see a thing!! But, if I hadn't slowed down I would have lost all control of my car if it wasn't for your Signal and reflective construction suit. I rolled down My window to say thank you!!!
My Husband was just ahead of me in his car with my little daughter and I wasn't aware of that until I made it home safely because of you!
Thank you thank you so much!
You saved lives tonight!
There are still good Samaritans out there!!
I was at Walmart yesterday afternoon, I had just deposited some money from my boyfriend to go get groceries for me, my 3 kids and dog. I proceeded to get my groceries and some dog food. I went to the self check out as standing in line in a busy store affects my anxiety. The clerk was very kind in helping me do my order (even though it was over 20 items) wish I had her name cuz she helped me too. When I went to pay for my groceries of 148$ my bank card was declined. I tried again! DECLINED AGAIN!!
This was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life, the clerk let me use her personal cell phone to call my bank (as mine was of course dead); they couldn't explain why my money had been taken out of my account and switched me through 5 different people. As I sat there in tears (being watched by strangers) having a panic attack on the phone with the run around; someone tapped me on the shoulder and said "hang up the phone sweetheart, let me help you get ur groceries in ur car!" Hunh?! What?! Yes, he had just asked the clerk to let him pay and DID. I then explained (while bawling that I had no way home) He then proceeded to say "alright let's go, stop crying, it's gonna be ok, you have food now for ur kids!"
DAVID thank you from the bottom of my heart, my children and I are forever thankful and appreciative for your kind and thoughful gesture and your kind words on the ride home. You've shown me that there are still good people out there and that it still makes a difference even if you help just one person at a time. I promise that once I'm in a position to, I will pay it forward (since you refused to allow me to repay u on payday). It's honestly one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me. May God bless ur kind heart for putting you in Walmart on that day, at that moment in time. You're an awesome human being and a great example of what we should all be like! David was a hero for that moment, so thank you again. :')
To the guy in the parking lot, March 28, I apologize for being rude. If your offer stil stands let me know:)
After a 12 hour work day I stopped to pump my gas at the Petro Canada on Walker Rd. Clearly I wanted to get home too quickly because I forgot my wallet behind at the gas pump. Around an hour or so later I came out to sit on my front porch and enjoy this beautiful weather. A few minutes later a Chevy Cobalt stops in front of my house and a young man walks up my porch steps and tells me he has something for me as he unzips his jacket and hands me my wallet which I still hadn't even realized I had LOST! I was in shock for a few seconds and asked him if I could compensate him for his time and kindness but he refused as he proceeded to walk back to his car. I asked him what his name was and he told me Matthew. I said thank you so much Matthew! I need to say it again here in hopes that he sees this post. Words truly cannot describe how touched I am by your kind gesture and honesty. We are lucky to have young upstanding men like you in this city. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU MATTHEW!
To the white Dodge Caravan at Timmies on Walker and Ypres around 2:15PM today. I didn't have a small order by any means - chilli, ice-cap, and espresso - but when I got to the window, I was told you paid for my order. Thanks! It was a great start to the week. I made sure to pay it forward.
Signed,
The grey Dodge Ram.
To the person in the white journey at the Malden road Tim Hortons this morning , thank you very much for paying for my order. Such a kind thing to do. You made my Monday morning so much better !😊
I just want to thank our waiter Joe At the Spagos located at Dougall and Cabana! It was my mother in laws birthday and you made the night extra special with her favourite dessert! You also made my kids night by making them their own pizza. I also want to thank Shaun. My kids watched you make pizza for probably an hour and you would smile at them throw dough in the air and make them laugh. Thank you for showing them a good time. The staff at this location was truly wonderful, Spagos. you have been spotted!
