Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
A few days ago a policeman in windsor brought flowers to one of my residents on her birthday. I found out he knew her as she was scammed out of a lot of money. Bless you for finding the time out of your day. Remembering her birthday and bringing her flowers after the incident.
We took my Daughter to the Keg for her 18th Birthday and just after we were seated a couple came up to our table and gave us a Keg gift card for $24.00. I always hear about people giving but it was so amazing to have it happen to us so from a very greatful family Thank You to the couple in the keg on Sunday 23 of march
A young fella in an SUV handed me a ticket with a half hour on it for parking. I only needed 5 min for the post office at Shoppers. I tried to pay it forward but couldn't find anyone who needed 20 min. Next time! Of course I thanked him profusely! What a nice surprise!
I would like to thank the person that took care of the tab that me and my 4 friends had at The Kilt & Fiddle on Saturday. We had at least 2 drinks each, so it was very generous on your part. It made our girls night even better. Thanks Again!!!
To the man who works at the University of Windsor CAW parking lot booth, I just want to say thank you for always being so pleasant and brightening my day!
A friend of mine shared on her Facebook that The Windsor Youth Centre is in desperate need of re-stocking their pantry. I didn't even know The Windsor Youth Centre existed until today. I'm sure many people like us, donate to larger organizations, but aren't aware of some of these smaller organizations as well. After going on The Windsor Youth Centre website and reading about what they do, it's obvious how important they are to some of the youth in our city. I thought Spotted in Windsor would be a great way to spread the word for them.
The Windsor Youth Centre information is below:
Lots of youth depend on portable snacks for breakfast and lunch and, it's getting to the point where we're going to have to start telling them no. Please help us out by dropping off some snack foods etc., to 1321 Wyandotte St. E. or by donating here: http:/ / www.thewindsoryouthcentre.org/ donate-online/
The Windsor Youth Centre website also has a list of things they are in need of.
This wonderful kids group invited LeeLee Hats to come and teach them how to loom. For two hours this group made hats and dedicated their Sunday at St. Andrews Church in LaSalle. Such an inspiration.
I went to Walmart yesterday morning to get my passport picture taken. The debit machine was down and I only had $16 in my wallet, the cost of the passport photo was $20.35. The gentleman behind me in line volunteered to pay the rest for me. I thought that was the sweetest thing ever! I had shopping to do and the lady said I could pay when I was done, so I thanked that man but did not accept his offer. I went shopping and the cashier had on bunny ears and was super friendly, also the woman at the portrait studio was very friendly and funny, all in all a great trip to the Eastside Walmart! Also, I had to go to the passport office after that and it was very crowded. They have a table at the back where can fill out paperwork and there were 3 people there filling out their paperwork so I waited, 2 people left and took the pens that are provided, so I asked the third person if I could use her pen, she said it was her pen so I told her I would find her when I was done filling out my paperwork and give her the pen back. She agreed but was finished before I was and came back over to me to tell me to keep the pen! What a sweet lady. I left the pen so that others could use it. Sorry this is so long but I knew Windsor people were great and friendly and yesterday they proved it for me!
