Holiday Kindness

Spotted: on January 3rd, my husband went out to shovel the snow this morning and was surprised to find this special delivery outside. What a wonderful gesture of kindness. Thank you so much to LuLu and Lana (and family), who we've never met, for the beautiful card and gift. This truly made our day. ❤️

EC Row westbound skid

To the man that pulled over to help me when my car slid off the expressway on new years day, thank you so much for your kindness. I have never been in an accident before and was very shaken up, despite there being no damage to my car or myself (thank God!). I really appreciate you waiting with me and calling a tow truck. I wish I got your name but I was so caught up in the moment that I never asked. Thank you again!!!!

Thank You !!!!!!

I would like to say thank you very much to the gentleman in dark Jeep Cherokee with the personalized plates. Around 10:15pm December 30th at the Tim's on tecumseh rd ( next to red lobster ). You had paid it forward. What seemed like a thoughtless gesture to you, made my complete night. You had bought my tea and lunch as I was on my way into work. You gave me hope in the human race again my friend! Happy New Year Sir!
Your gesture has not gone unnoticed!
Sincerely ,
The Tired PSW in the silver car behind you. :)

I just saw something that warmed my heart..
A young man giving what seemed to be a homeless man sitting on the curb at Tim Horton's a nice hot coffee and a warm smile
To that young man at the Tim's on Goyeau by City Hall THANK YOU for being a decent human!!
You've given me some faith that there is still good in this world

In spite of all the haters, some people still make me believe there's more good than bad. Was at Superstore today for just a couple things so didn't get a cart. Well of course I bought about 10 things. I dropped them twice! And a wonderful lady told me to put them in her cart. Turns out I forgot something in her cart and paid for it. When I went for my wallet she said "No! Merry Christmas" Omg she was so nice! So I went thru Tim's drive through and paid it forward by paying for the car behind me. Spirits instantly lifted. Faith restored. Thank you lady, you rock!

A Moment of Appreciation

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and appreciation for all of the healthcare workers and hospital staff. I was recently at Hotel Dieu for some routine procedures and I must say I was met with the kindest and friendliest staff. Each person I came into contact with went above and beyond in making me feel comfortable, reassuring me and of course, taking proper COVID precautions. Being there, spending just a short time with these wonderful people has really caused me to sit and reflect on all the hardships they have faced this year. We discussed how many of the nurses, doctors and other staff won't be able to see even their immediate family over the holidays as they will be working tirelessly to care for regular people like you and me. It is my hope for the holidays that we all each take a second to thank a healthcare worker and acknowledge just how much we appreciate their sacrifices. Employees who are overworked, under paid and sacrificing so much of their lives to care for complete strangers, to hold the hands of patients who are scared, becoming family to those who's families can't be with them. It takes incredibly selfless and kindhearted people to do that. Words truly can not express how appreciative I am. Thank you to our Healthcare Heroes.

Tired, Elderly Gentleman Made to Stand

To the young man who was banking at the Windsor Family Credit Union on Dougall yesterday morning (Thursday December 17, 2020), please be more considerate and aware in the future. We all need to be a little more kind, particularly to our elderly and vulnerable neighbours. My 91 year old, legally blind, grandfather walked to the bank in order to avoid public transportation because of the risk of Covid-19. He completed his banking but was too tired to walk home. He asked the teller to order him a cab and then made his way to the only chair in the bank so that he could sit while he waited. You, an able-bodied young man, brushed past him and sat down in the chair before he could sit. My 91 year old grandfather was made to lean against the wall for the entirety of the wait. I hope you see this and I hope that next time when someone else less capable than yourself is nearby, you think more about how you can accommodate that person rather than make their life more difficult.

Used Covid Masks - the new garbage

Spotted this used mask at the end of our front walk. Please people don't toss your used masks as they are getting a bad as Tim Hortons garbage.
