Spotted: A group of very young boys, I'm guessing ages 6-8, (a hockey team, maybe) had dinner last night at the East Side Mario's in Windsor. I was delighted to see how very well behaved and polite they were with the staff of the restaurant and with other patrons having dinner, as it was a fairly busy night. It was pure happiness to see the joy on their faces, and clapping along as other people celebrated birthdays. (there were many) Praise to the parents of these fine young boys, and to the staff of East Side Mario's for making last night's dinner a truly blessed experience.
Signed,
A happy girl in awe of the simple joys that little people bring.

Id like to spot a very kind women whom i just met at petro canada on techumseh and oulette. It was one hour before my 18th birthday and on my way home from work i wanted to buy my very first lottery ticket so i could scratch it at midnight, when i presented both my ids and told the cashier my birthday was in an hour after a half hour of checking to see if it was even valid my id was denied and i was told to come back in the morning. The women who was standing behinde kindly offered to buy me it for my birthday and save me the hassel of waiting until the morning for the one hour that i was still 17. To that i say thank you for helping me make my 18th feel more official and for being so generous.

Thanks to the kind people who gave me their parking tickets that still had an hour+ left of paid parking on them so I could park for free @ WFHT (a nice Woman) and (nice Man)at the 700 building. I thanked you & was truly touched.

For someone that had to see both my family Dr. and specialist in one week the unpaid time I missed off of work is a big hit, so to be able to save the $5.20 I would have had to pay on top of that for parking it's a help!

I will always offer my ticket to others if it still has time left on it to "pay it forward"

Happy Holidays,

-Still undiagnosed Windsorite

Spotted : The happy family that came in smiling, blowing us kisses and being all-in-all fun and caring customers; we'd just been hit by a large rush of people (some rather rude & others just plain nasty) when we ran out of potatoes, and your happy-go-lucky easy going attitudes made our shift a little brighter. Thanks for the smiles, happy customers like you are what make the shift worth working.

Sincerely,
The Wendy's Night Shift

Spotted: The thoughtful stranger at Devonshire cinemas Friday night who handed me a coupon for free pop and popcorn for my 3 girls to enjoy. Thank-you for the treats and more importantly thanks for allowing my children to be witness to the random acts of kindness of strangers. You have been spotted!

I'd like to address the people of the Ottawa Street area that keep breaking into cars of the store owners. We are trying hard to make the area a destination for commerce, which in turn will make the shops thrive and bring more jobs or the area. If you keep vandalizing our property we will move from the area to do business. For the small amount of gratification you get from the meager belongings you're stealing you're actually making the neighborhood worse for yourselves and your families. Work with us to make your area safe and prosperous so we can employ you, your brothers, sisters and other family members. Only then will you be able to have pride in yourselves. Do you really want all of the convieniences to leave the area? Be smart take care of the neighborhood you and all of us call home. You know the right thing to do, don't let us down. Put a stop the break-ins and vandalism. .

Spotted : To the person who hit the poor cat crossing the street on Wyandotte and Pierre today around 2pm and just took off, that was heartless. I left my work to make sure the cat didn't crawl off to die. The humane society came and picked her up to put her to sleep. My heart broke for this cat, she was alone and scared. At least she didn't have to suffer too long. R.I.P little cat.
